B&B Civico 33

We arrived and found out this wasn't an apartment for private use. You get a locked bedroom with its own bathroom, while the living room and kitchen are shared with people staying in three or four other rooms in the apartment. That was not made clear in the listing, which described it as an apartment rather than a hostel. We refused to stay, but they wouldn't refund our money. Ludovica provided awful service. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Getting to the entrance with luggage means climbing a huge flight of stairs, about the equivalent of six floors. They don't tell you this when you book, and if something goes wrong, they aren't willing to help. The service was terrible, so if you can book somewhere else, I'd do that.

We spent the Christmas holidays at this lovely B&B. It's in a great spot, and the property was quiet, clean, and well cared for. The staff were courteous and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here, and Naples is wonderful!

We booked five days near the convenient central funicular after friends recommended the property for our Naples visit. The renovated rooms are on the third floor of an old building, with an elevator, and are furnished tastefully and practically. Paolo was welcoming from the beginning and clearly cares about guests' comfort. The cleaning lady was excellent and quickly dealt with a small problem before it could become an inconvenience. We got to enjoy Naples and its Neapolitan character to the full. It's a fantastic city.
