6/10
Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a private terrace, on the building’s top floor. The neighborhood can get very noisy at night. The bathroom shower fitting was broken, though, and a properly working shower seems like a basic need in such hot, humid weather. It should be an easy, inexpensive fix.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the service was great for the price. The location was superb, and the huge terrace was a lovely surprise. They also gave us two vouchers for a meal for two at an excellent pizzeria. We’ll come back next time we’re in town!

The bed was hard, it was hot, and there was lots of noise from the street, doors, and neighbors. Maybe that’s classic Italian style?
