From arrival onward, the stay went badly. The hotel was difficult to find, the building lift wasn’t working, and we had to carry our luggage up five floors without any help. We’d been told the garage would cost 15 euro per night, but ended up paying 25. In the room there was a strong toilet smell, perhaps because of the wind direction. The sink had a do not use sign, the sheets were stained, and there was dust around the room. We had paid 242 euros for three nights and asked to leave the next morning with a refund for the remaining two. They refused to get on the phone. It felt like a booking scam from start to finish. Never come here. I highly recommend our second pick hotel on the other side of town. Pinto storey.

Glory was wonderful and very attentive to what we needed. We stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. Our room was huge, with a nice bathroom and hot shower, plus a balcony overlooking Piazza Principe Umberto. The location was the best part for us, close to the train station and the historic district. Since we were visiting other towns during the day, being near the station was especially convenient.

The room itself was nice, but it wasn’t clean. There was dust on nearly every surface, the towels were dirty, and every so often the walls and bed would shake for some reason. The area was filthy and the streets smelled awful, even though the location is convenient for both Naples central station and the historic centre. We’d asked to check in at 10.00 am. We weren’t refused, but nobody was there to let us in. The host suggested waiting for someone to enter or leave the building so we could reach the fourth floor BnB. In the end, another BnB in the building kindly let us inside. The lift takes 20 cent coins, which we hadn’t been told to bring, so we had to carry our luggage up four flights of stairs.

The room had new furniture and was comfortable, and the balcony was lovely for getting fresh air and watching the city during summer. From this central spot it’s convenient to reach both the port and train station. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and we couldn’t get a connection on the wifi. Our room wasn’t cleaned during the three days we stayed. Breakfast was basically coffee and a fresh croissant, which was okay.
