B&B OFF Rooms and Relax

From the sixth floor, we had a lovely balcony with a glimpse of the sea and a beautiful view of the hills of Naples lit up at night. The mattress was very comfortable, and having a supermarket next door was handy. It’s easy to walk to both the city center and the central station, though some of the streets along the way are less attractive. At certain times, you also have to pay to use the elevator. Good value for money.

B&B OFF turned out to be really good value. I booked this vacation on a whim, and there weren't many rooms or reviews for OFF Rooms and Relax, so I hesitated. In the end, the quality beat my expectations for the very reasonable price. The biggest plus is being less than 10 minutes from Naples Centrale Station. The walk was bumpy and awkward with our luggage, but the short distance made getting around easy, and there's a CONAD supermarket a minute away. The place seemed more accessible than the other B&Bs I compared. I didn't feel the station area was very safe overall. There were lots of black people, and the streets were dirty and disorganized. Anyone who has visited other Italian cities will understand. Because of my flight, I needed to check in around noon, and express check-in was easy. Being able to unlock the door online whenever we went in or out was a new and convenient experience. The building is on the 6th floor, with an elevator. The lift is very narrow, full with just two people, and sometimes you have to put coins in while going down. It happens unpredictably, and sometimes it stops and asks for coins again. Our room had plenty of space to open two suitcases, a comfortable bed, and hangers for several clothes. Staff were friendly and professional, though communicating in English was a little difficult. They cleaned the room daily and supplied shampoo, soap, and toilet paper. Coffee and tea were free every day. We also got two bottles of water for the two of us and six towels at check-in, one each for face, hair, and body. Breakfast isn't provided, and there are no slippers or toothbrushes. The room has a terrace, where you can have morning tea and look out the window. As other reviews mentioned, the toilet and shower are in separate areas. I was fine with that, but my husband found it inconvenient.

They charge for this place, even though it’s dirty and very basic. The bathroom has limescale and rust everywhere, the toilet tank won’t fill, and the hairdryer has been pulled out of its holder.

We found a good pizzeria and a good trattoria nearby. The B&B is just steps from Naples Central Station, very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent stay, highly recommended!
