We needed an affordable place for just one night in Naples, and this worked perfectly for us. The room was clean and had a fan, towels, soap, and other basic amenities. The owner was kind and helpful, even coming back late at night when we locked ourselves out. There was a small city tax to pay at the door, which is pretty standard in Italy. For the price, it was exactly what we needed. A good option if you’re after a simple, clean, affordable stay.

We arrived to find the room without any light. The host said he’d change the bulb the next day, which would have meant spending one of our two nights in the dark, since there was only a single bulb in the room. When we said we wouldn’t stay, he got a bulb within an hour, which was helpful. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and there weren’t basic things like tea, coffee, or drinking water. The bathroom was the biggest problem: it was outside the room and needed to be unlocked each time with a manual key. I think you can find a better stay in Naples with a more helpful host.

The bed was comfortable, and the owner replied quickly. Still, we were promised a private bathroom, closet, toaster, hairdryer, ironing board, bathroom items, and other things that weren’t there. The area seemed very unsafe, and the building smelled bad. I felt we’d paid for things we didn’t get.

The place was awful from start to finish. There was no front desk, so when I got into the building, I had no idea what to do. The building was very old and had bugs, the key looked ancient, and you could see into the rooms through the keyhole. There was no Wi-Fi, and the clothes rack had a broken leg. The chair was broken and unusable too. There was no hot water or shampoo, the hairdryer didn’t work, the pillow smelled bad, and the sheets were damp and disgusting. White stuff was falling from the shower room ceiling. The staff member who showed me around said to call or message if there were problems and that they’d keep an eye on things, but no one answered the phone or checked the chat. The worst. I’d never go back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.
