Blu Parthenope Suites

We were completely taken with the view and the Neapolitan atmosphere, even though we couldn’t see Vesuvius. The room was spotless and matched the website photos, and I especially liked the quality of the hairdryer. The owner and her assistant were both extremely kind and helpful. We spent seven nights at Blu Parthenope Suites. It’s on a central street with plenty of amenities, just steps from the main train station and near the metro. The historic center is a 20-minute walk, and the city’s beauty along the way made each trip enjoyable. It felt quiet and comfortable, and we felt at home right away. A real find in Naples, and we hope to return soon.

Friends suggested this b&b, and I had a great stay. The room was spotless and had everything, including a coffee machine, kettle, and fridge. Water and pods were always available, and the hospitality was excellent. I’d have given five stars if there’d been a wall-mounted clothes hanger and another bathroom shelf in addition to the wardrobe. Small things, though, and I recommend it.

The host communicated well and directly, and the central location makes it easy to explore Centro Storico on foot. There’s a bus stop right outside the building and a metro stop about 200 meters away, so other areas are easy to reach too. But I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The rooms are on the fifth floor of a huge, old building, and the renovation looks like it was done years ago with no upkeep since. Our room had dirty walls with visible damp, and the floor was dusty and a bit dirty in places. It didn’t match the photos. There’s no soundproofing: we could clearly hear the hall and nearby rooms, plus quite a lot of street noise even with the balcony door shut. If you’re going to Naples, I’d pay a little more and book somewhere else, perhaps in Chiaia.

It’s close to the train station and well placed for exploring Naples’ historic center.
