Clelia’s apartment is lovely. We only stayed one night, and the room was simple, clean, and nice. There’s a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave, plus a pleasant place to sit outside the room. Clelia takes good care of her guests, explains check-in clearly, stays in touch during the stay, and tries to help when you need something. The neighborhood has lovely historic buildings. Napoli is busy, but has a good atmosphere and good restaurants.

We could explore on foot from this central, convenient spot, just steps from San Gennaro and Spaccanapoli. The room was very nice and fairly clean, with new furnishings. Mrs. Clelia was so kind that she even let us leave our suitcase there on the last day before we left. I only wish I’d had the chance to meet her!

Being right in the heart of Spaccanapoli was the best part, but the rest was disappointing. We were eight people across three rooms, and cleanliness was basically nonexistent in two of them. Only one room, clearly the most recently renovated, showed any sign of being clean. The host was very helpful online, but I’d have hoped for some effort to address these problems. Also, girls who probably weren’t on vacation were sleeping in a fourth room. There was loud talking and noise in the common room late into the night, and spicy food had us coughing constantly. At one point, steam even filled the shared area.

The location made it easy to get to all the sights in Naples, and Mrs. Clelia gave us lots of useful tips. We stayed from October 3rd to 6th, and the room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Being able to leave our luggage after checkout meant we could explore without carrying our backpacks. Antonio and Laura
