Domus Aurea

After driving 800 km, I called on the day we were due to arrive and was told there was no reservation under my name because he talks to too many people. He'd made me cancel the Booking.com reservation in the first place. What a lack of sense. He won't see me again.

The location is the one good thing: close to the tram and bus stops, with routes in every direction. Nearby parking costs €1 an hour from 8 am to 8 pm, which is the cheapest around. The room and sheets had a strong, unpleasant smell. The bathroom was in poor shape too: dirty shower tray, a showerhead that sprayed water everywhere, no hook, and no toilet seat. The towels were so worn they barely dried anything. You can get more for less, so next time we're in Naples we'll stay somewhere else.

Breakfast was a letdown, with nothing to eat in the morning except croissants. There was also no space for our clothes because the closets were packed with other things. The B&B itself is in a lovely, quiet part of Vomero, near the subway and other services that make getting to the historic center easy. Our room was attractive and clean, with lots of new amenities.

The woman who greeted us was polite, kind, and ready to help. Everything was clean and tidy, and the location was convenient. We had a great experience and would recommend it.
