Hotel Eden

My mom is staying there now, and the room is nothing like the pictures. She checked in very late and found there was no water overnight. The staff haven't been helpful, and there are cleanliness problems. At least the promised balcony is there, and the location is very close to the station. The booking was for three nights, but it had been split into two separate reservations, so she was told to check out at 10 a.m. and come back at 2 p.m. That's nonsense. I understand the hotel's price, but the pictures and room condition that might attract you don't reflect what she got. There are many other hotels nearby, and I'd choose one of those.

The room itself was in awful shape: holes all over the walls, broken mirrors, and a broken frame, as if the room had been in a gun fight. Our toilet also wouldn't flush properly during the entire four-night stay, despite us asking repeatedly for a repair. They tried to fix it on the last day, but it still didn't work. We had to ask several times for basics like toilet paper. Before we arrived, I emailed three times, messaged through Booking.com, and called several times without getting an answer. The only time anyone picked up was when my friend called from an Italian number. They told us to email again and still never replied. I honestly wondered if the hotel was a scam. Check-in itself went smoothly, but after that it was a mess. In our friends' room there were bed bugs, and when they reported it, the receptionist got aggressive and wouldn't let them explain. For what we paid, this was completely unacceptable. The communication, maintenance, and staff behavior made it one of my worst hotel stays. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Earplugs are a must! I spent five days here and found it good value, especially when booked through Expedia. The room was spacious and clean, and everything worked except the fridge. The area around the main train station can feel a little unsafe, but I didn't have any problems. It was a great base for the metro, trains, and exploring the city, and I'd stay again.

The duvet was torn and had no protective cover, and the toilet drain didn't work properly. At check-in they also asked me for an extra €4.5 tax. I felt the area around the hotel was unsafe, especially for walking at night. I really don't recommend staying here; I'd look for somewhere better.
