The mattress was so flimsy that our backs started hurting, and the room and bathroom smelled awful. We stayed 4 days without cleaning. We asked several times about room service, then were told it only happens after checkout. The listing was extremely misleading, too. There was no elevator access, and because I'm pregnant I couldn't carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. The owner's response was that if I could walk around the city in the heat, the stairs shouldn't be a problem. They could at least have compensated us for the inaccurate listing. We've booked at least 7-8 properties on our Europe trip, and none of the others were this rude or inconsiderate. After I left an honest review, the owner messaged me: ‘Thanks for the fantastic review! I wanted to inform you that we have never had such filthy, dirty, disgusting guests as you. It's what you left in the toilet that represents you the same :) ‘ Abusing customers seems to be what they stand for. Don't waste your money on this overpriced stay.

The location is great, but the place is really small and looked completely different from the Airbnb photos. It was hard to find, even with the Google Maps link the owner sent. Nobody cleaned our room during our 4-night stay, though we did get fresh towels when we asked. One day, someone came in to check if everything was alright. The cleaning lady said it was her, but she hadn't cleaned.

I got food poisoning on our first day, and Giovanni and Fatima came right over to help us translate with the medical staff. The medics didn't speak English, so without them we'd have been really lost. They checked on us every day after that, which made us feel safe. Luckily, I was able to enjoy beautiful Napoli the next day. The rooms were perfectly clean and well kept, right in the centre of Chiaia. The hospitality really stood out. I'd give them 6 stars if I could! Grazie mille

The location made getting around easy, with the city's biggest square almost on the doorstep. Restaurants and bars along the coast, with amazing sea views, are within walking distance, and so is the port for ferries to Sorrento and Capri. Giovanni was a great host, with lots of helpful suggestions for places to eat and things to see around Napels. He made the stay feel comfortable and trustworthy. The Fagi room was clean, comfortable and felt like a little oasis in the busy heart of Napels. It was also tidied while I was out, so I came back to a freshly made bed. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend Fagi rooms for solo travelers or couples. Grazie mille!
