For the price and location, it’s not a bad place. The hostess was nice and shared local tips when we collected the keys. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen had a reasonable set of cooking utensils, and it was quiet overnight. But the floors were filthy. With a baby along, we spent our first night wiping them down. Everything worked, though the low quality of some things showed quickly. The pullout couch made a comfortable double bed, but its faux leather was peeling at the seams when used as a sofa, which wasn’t great with a baby. Most of the furnishings were IKEA, which was fine, though soft-close cabinets would be a welcome upgrade. The shower needs a thorough clean, perhaps even new tiling, and the water temperature changed randomly. Halfway through our stay, the toilet cistern above us started leaking down the wall and needed a repair, though they responded quickly. I got a dirty towel during the mid-stay towel change, with someone else’s hair and bits of dirt on it. The WiFi began dropping out, and the router was in the other apartment. I’ve never seen such a tiny washing machine. Three stars for a three-star “hotel.” The location is great and the price very reasonable, but it could use a few small improvements.

The hosts’ behavior left me shocked and upset. I was traveling alone, a woman in my twenties, and had lost my phone. They yelled at me for not answering their calls, then made me call around ten times before picking up and yelling again. When I tried to speak, he cut me off with, “NO, let me talk first.” They also threatened to call the police because their camera showed another person waiting at the door with me, and my room was booked for one person. My friend had only come to help with my luggage and make sure I got there safely. I’d done nothing but ring the doorbell and wait because I wanted somewhere to store my bags. This was at 2pm, with check-in at 3pm. I was too shaken to answer back. I’m baffled by the whole incident. If you’re a woman traveling alone and don’t want to stay somewhere where this could happen, stay away from FIORENTINI NAPOLI.

We had a lovely few days here. The room was cosy and very clean, with a coffee machine and air con. Check-in was easy, and the service from host Ines was the best. There are good restaurants nearby, plus a supermarket if you need one. We’d stay again.

The place is well located, and everything was clean and working properly. The toilet seat was old and yellowing, though, so it looked unsanitary even if it probably was clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful that I’m adding a star for them. Otherwise, I think I’d have given it three.
