This didn’t feel like a four-star stay. The hotel is on the first floor with no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs. Our room’s toilet was missing its seat. When we raised it, a staff member said it would take two days to fix because previous guests had broken it. After an hour of back and forth, he finally called someone to sort it out. The bathroom was also dirty, and the room lacked proper amenities and cleanliness. Very disappointing.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the facilities were very nice. Staff welcomed us and arranged a taxi for our departure. There was no elevator when we visited in March 2023, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The walls are very thin.

Our room was dirty, with poo on the bathroom wall, and both the bed and uncovered blanket smelled bad. There was only a single sheet between us and the blanket, so it was almost impossible not to touch it while sleeping. Disgusting. Breakfast was included, but we had to choose from a list the night before and give a time. We picked toast and coffee, then decided not to have any more during our three-night stay because the process felt like too much hassle. At checkout, the woman tried to charge us 60 euro for that one breakfast. I really don’t recommend this place, and we’d report it to booking.

The rooms were okay, though oddly laid out with a lot of empty space. Our shower wouldn’t work except as a hand shower, because you had to keep pulling out a knob to use the “rain” shower. The staff were accommodating and polite, but the hotel itself was underwhelming, and I can’t imagine the spa part of the name would impress either. Breakfast came to the room, mostly fatty meats, toast, and overripe fruit. You also had to hand in your room key whenever you left, something I’ve never encountered in more than 100 hotel stays. It’s on the edge of the “old” town, with narrow alleys and loads of bad graffiti, but also some unexpectedly pleasant restaurants, shops, and bars. As with the rest of Naples, it feels like local government needs funding, or locals need to take more pride in their hometown instead of covering it in terrible artwork. The hotel felt much the same.
