Hotel Nuvò

Getting into central Naples was easy, since the train station is only about 15 minutes away, and there's a shop across the road. The rooms were clean, with fresh sheets and towels each day. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and plentiful. The staff were all kind and helpful. They even arranged a cab for us to Pompeii with a return trip. We were very pleased with our stay.

Although the hotel itself was very pleasant, its location didn't work well for us as tourists over 70. There isn't much nearby to recommend beyond a Mexican restaurant, and if the pizza and seafood places I plan to review separately are typical, dining options leave a lot to be desired. That's down to Easy Jet, in my view. I also question the four-star rating, since there's no restaurant or meal service beyond breakfast. The room was large and very good, with effective air conditioning, but the furniture felt dated and the colour scheme was garish. Staff were fantastic, especially the women serving breakfast. Breakfast was fine, though the scrambled eggs and sausages should be kept in a working bain marie. Again, I blame Easy Jet for the location.

The staff were professional, helpful, and cheerful. There’s a very good pizzeria/restaurant nearby, and the hotel is close to two train stations with easy links into the center of Naples. The pier is nearby too. Our room was modern, comfortably furnished, and nicely put together. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the bathroom had a large shower, toiletries, and a bidet. The minibar prices were reasonable.

The metro station is very close, right across from the hotel, though the location is a long way from downtown and you'll need a taxi or the metro to get there. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was very clean. The furniture in the room was quite old, like something from the black-and-white movie era.
