Hub Naples

Yeah, this was a bit of a letdown. I didn’t mind the lack of reception or the room itself, since you get what you pay for. But one day I came back to find my window wide open, and they didn’t replace my towel, so I ended up drying myself with the bed blanket. When I called for help, the person hung up before hearing what I needed. Messages I sent afterward were ignored too. The Hub management was just disappointing. At least the hot water was good, the shower pressure was strong, and it never went cold.

The location is great, and the pictures of the inside match what you get. The site should show a real photo of the outside, though. There was a terrible tobacco smell both outdoors and in the room, and I could barely sleep. Roberto was nice, but communication was a bit difficult.

For a low budget, the room itself is large and comfortable, with modern security for getting in. Napoli Centrale is right across from it, and the price is another plus. Still, Piazza Garibaldi is far too ugly for a family trip or a couple of girlfriends, at least to me. The entrance is hard to spot, and the surrounding area is really unpleasant. When we phoned the owner, his English wasn’t very good, but we managed to find him and the hub. Best points are the station distance, cost, and room size. The surroundings, entrance, and communication with the owner are the downsides.

Warning, this hotel doesn’t exist. I was given a phone number to call when I arrived, but the address led to an empty, unsafe courtyard with lots of men around at night. The cafe next door had never heard of the place. It’s a scam!
