Il Salotto - Bed & Breakfast

The breakfast place was closed, but the owners quickly reimbursed us for the breakfast we’d had. The property is in the Chiaia neighborhood, in a charming old building, with clean, beautiful rooms. The staff know their stuff and are always available. Some nearby bars across the street stay open late, so the noise might bother people at night. It didn’t bother us, though.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with distinctive, elegant furnishings. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property is in the heart of Naples’s baretti district, inside an old 18th-century building. Highly recommended.

I chose this centrally located B&B after reading the glowing reviews, apparently written by local guides. But I couldn't stay there. The room had no window at all, something I've never encountered on my travels, and the manager wasn't there when I arrived. She either forgot my arrival date or had written it down incorrectly, then reported me to Booking.com as a no-show. The office that regulates room rentals should inspect the place. I don't think it deserves accreditation, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We had a delicious breakfast, and Mrs. Cornelia was so welcoming and kind. She also gave us useful tips on what to see. The B&B is perfectly placed for exploring Naples on foot and getting to the seafront. Highly recommended!
