Il Salotto della Regina

A missed flight left my wife and me with an extra night in Naples, so we booked here at the last minute. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and offered to hold our bags while we waited for the room. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a room with a hot tub. It was the best hotel of our Italy trip and made the final day of our honeymoon really special. Six stars if I could.

The staff were very nice, but I left disappointed. The price doesn't feel justified, and I don't understand the Google reviews. The room was quite small, more like a hostel than a hotel. Breakfast was very limited, with no bread, ham, or cheese, and when we mentioned the shortage, the woman didn't refill the counter. We were offered some bread and cheese, but the breakfast area was still left empty for the other guests.

What stood out most at Salotto della Regina was how comfortable and homey it felt. The decor is lovely, the bedding is luxurious, and the rooms are spotless, well equipped, and beautifully put together. I had a relaxing stay, and the attentive staff made sure I had what I needed from the moment I arrived. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, and the staff were attentive then too. The hotel is in a charming neighborhood, with local attractions and public transport easy to reach, so it works well whether you want to explore or unwind. I couldn't be happier with the service, rooms, and location. One of my best hotel stays, and I'd gladly return.

The service was the highlight, every staff member seemed to care about the guests. The room was spotless, with a nearly new mattress and bedding, and breakfast was great. I found the price fair for the quality. Naples itself felt busier than I prefer, but the hotel is tucked into a quiet building, with plenty of transport nearby. I stayed a few nights in early September. The air conditioning could have been cooler, though I'm used to much colder temperatures at home, so perhaps it was normal for most people. I'd highly recommend the hotel.
