The area is very old and historic, but there’s graffiti everywhere, narrow streets and trash. The photos didn’t show it accurately. Our hired car driver couldn’t find the place and circled the block several times. The street was so narrow that he wanted to drop us off around the block, even though we didn’t know where the property was. There was no sign to help us find the apartment. A girl in the dark, dingy courtyard pointed us in the right direction. Once inside, it was dark, and we couldn’t open the shutters to let in light. We knocked on the owner’s door three times, as he’d told us to do if we needed anything, but no one answered. We decided not to stay. There were four huge keys to get into the building and apartment. We were there for maybe an hour, didn’t feel comfortable going outside, and left because the property and area weren’t as advertised and we felt unsafe. As we were leaving, the owner came out of his area, and we explained why we weren’t staying. Later we found we’d been charged the full amount improperly. Within 24 hours, we contacted Expedia to explain that the booking was unsatisfactory. We were on hold for over 20 minutes and, since there was no email address to contact, we hung up because of the overseas charges. Out of the seven places we stayed, this was the only one that caused us problems. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The apartment was comfortable, clean and nice. Great location close to both via Toledo and Spaccanapoli. I’d definitely recommend it.

The owners were warm, very kind and happy to help with any request. The rooms were tidy and spotlessly clean, and it really felt like being at home. A great choice for a weekend, a short break or even a lovely long holiday. This wonderful B&B is in a beautiful historic Palazzo, well placed for visiting the Centro Storico di Napoli.

I felt very welcome thanks to the courteous, helpful owners. The house is spacious, with three beautifully furnished, clean rooms. It’s in the heart of the old town, on a quiet side street, about 200 meters from Dante metro station and Spaccanapoli. An outstanding place to stay during my four-week tour of Italy.
