It’s a very central place, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the central station. The area is a bit sketchy, but overall it’s a nice place to stay.

This is very basic and NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES, but the price fits what you get. I paid €27 a night, and it was the sort of simple, functional place I expected for sleeping. My room was clean, and I only needed somewhere to rest, so it worked for that. The sheets, pillows, and towels were quite old, though, and the building could use maintenance. I’d brought my own towels and pillowcase, which got around that issue. The hot water was great, almost boiling. I can’t say how comfortable it is in the hottest or coldest weather, because the air conditioning in my room, the yellow one, didn’t work. I’d give it four stars for the price and quality. The helpful check-in, even though it was almost 10 PM, is what nudged me from three stars to four.

In six months of traveling around the world, I’ve never had an experience like this. There was no lobby and no staff on site, despite the property saying it had a 24-hour front desk. Around 11 PM, I called the number listed on Google Maps, and the person who answered just said “finished” and hung up. I had no choice but to book another hotel at my own expense. Completely unacceptable and misleading.
