Le Sciantose Relais

I stayed at Le Sciantose Relais on a business trip, and it made work and evenings out easy. It's centrally placed, near public transport and within walking distance of key business spots in Naples, with time for sightseeing after meetings too. The room was spacious and modern, with fast Wi-Fi, a comfortable desk, and a mini-fridge for drinks or snacks. It was quiet, and the soundproofing helped me focus without distractions. The staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating. I also appreciated breakfast brought by room service, especially before an early meeting. It was a relaxed, easy start to the day.

The location near popular streets was really good, the staff were friendly, and our room had a balcony. We could hear some street noise, but it didn't bother us. Breakfast was included, which was nice, though on two of our three nights we didn't get exactly what we'd ordered. The shower was frustrating because the temperature kept changing by itself, and the water flow needs repair. Also, the maids started cleaning the room next to ours at 1am, so there was no way to sleep.

Our host was responsive and kind. At check-in we were told breakfast would arrive between 8 and 10am, but at 8 we got two espressos and two sfogliatas. I checked with the host and learned our reservation didn't include breakfast. Still, they kindly let us order it free for our last day. It came in a cute little wooden cart. We stayed in room 1, opposite the entrance, and hallway noise was the biggest problem. We could clearly hear people entering and leaving rooms and talking, and the door slamming at night woke us. Outside there was normal city noise, including an early garbage truck. The rooms are part of a B&B made from one unit in a residential apartment building, on the third floor. The old entrance felt a bit questionable when we arrived, but our room was clean, spacious, and well kept, bigger than our hotel room in Rome. The bathroom was very cramped, though, and the shower head leaked. They provide daily room service. The air freshener was overpowering at first, but we folded it away and it was better by the next day. The location is 5/5, around the corner from the train station and just off the main road.

The reception ladies were friendly, and the room was comfortable, nicely located, and the breakfast was great. The room could use a refurbishment, though, as it feels a bit dated. From the jacuzzi, the toilet looked quite dirty, with brown stains from age.
