Marys Room

The main drawback is the kitchen equipment. There's only a bread knife, so it could use cutting knives, a frying pan, spatula, and can opener. If you don't plan to cook much, it's excellent value and a perfect apartment. It's large, immaculate, and newly refurbished in central Naples, with air conditioning in the bedroom. The shower feels luxurious, with side jets and an enormous shower head.

Mrs. Maria was professional, kind, helpful, and quick to respond to what we needed. The apartment is quiet even though it's central, and it's clean, comfortable, welcoming, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. We highly recommend it for a comfortable stay in Naples.

Maria was quite hospitable, and the neighborhood, Vicaria, is not far from Piazza Garibaldi train station. The apartment is split between two buildings with a shared area, on the second floor, and there is a lift that takes a 10-cent coin. For a winter stay, though, it was very cold. Heating is through two air conditioners, but they can't run at the same time without tripping the meter. Even set to heat and left on for over 30 minutes, they blew cold air. The windows aren't double-glazed, which made it colder, and there was no stove in the bathroom. The floor's entrance door has an old, very difficult lock, so you have to call the host to open it. In the kitchen, there were no placemats for coffee cups, and the area under the bed hadn't been cleaned. I'm dissatisfied, and moved on to a new property with working heating. I received €15.00 back from the host out of €74.58, and a €30.00 refund from the bank.

Maria's warmth and friendliness really stood out, along with the cleanliness and all the little details that have been taken care of. The location is excellent too, just five minutes from the train station. I'd say this is one of the best apartments in the area, maybe the best. I'll definitely return and highly recommend it.
