Medina Suite 24

We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment in October 2019. It was modern, updated, and very clean. The place did a good job keeping out the noise, which matters in busy, loud Naples. Beds were comfortable, and each bedroom had air conditioning. There’s no sofa or living room, though, and after walking around all day, we would have liked somewhere to lounge. The layout is two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen with a breakfast table. Getting around was easy: Toledo and Municipio metro stations are both under five minutes away, grocery stores are close, and there are lots of good restaurants nearby, including one downstairs. The kitchen has a kettle and stove/oven, but no microwave or electric coffee maker. Most outlets are Type L; there are three Type F plugs, one in the kitchen and one in each bathroom. Check-in was a little awkward. We arrived early hoping just to leave our bags, but because it’s a private apartment, arranging that took several emails and texts. We did end up checking in early, so it worked out. The hosts also left two complimentary bottles of wine and arranged a light breakfast and espresso delivery one morning, which were really nice touches.

Very clean and nice.

We were able to see the main attractions over three days without using public transport. The location is excellent, about 10 minutes on foot from the city center. For breakfast, I recommend the café downstairs, Gran Caffè. The croissants are delicious, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the host was very kind and helpful.

The entrance door gives a poor first impression, but the home itself is very nice and comfortable. It’s right in the heart of Naples, and the owners are friendly and attentive. With the traffic being so chaotic, it’s best to walk to the property.
