Partenope House Mare

It's a good spot if you're happy to walk a lot. The nearest subway is about a 20-minute walk, which is worth considering if you're travelling with kids, and the buses are pretty uncomfortable. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The house is spacious and in a quiet neighborhood close to the pedestrian promenade, but it's really dark inside and there's nothing to be done about that. A few things felt lacking: I've never stayed somewhere without mattress and pillow covers or duvet covers. I'm not fussy, but duvet covers can be machine washed at 60°C and duvets can't. The kitchen is very basic. I get that holidaymakers may not cook much, but if you choose an apartment, you may need those facilities rather than a B&B. We had no tablecloths, dishcloths or anything to clean with. We stayed a week, so that got annoying.
