Our week in Naples was much easier thanks to the apartment’s quiet, comfortable feel. The beds were so good, even better than at home, and the place was clean, with good air conditioning, quick Wi-Fi, and a roomy bathroom with a toilet and bidet. The building is old, but inside the apartment feels modern and is furnished comfortably. Even though it’s close to the main road to the central station, we didn’t hear traffic. Getting around was simple: the central railway station, Alibus stop, and Metropolitana station are all nearby. There’s a small fridge in the apartment and a grocery shop just around the corner. The owner communicated really well, shared useful tips for getting around, and suggested vegan restaurants. We had no trouble in the area and saw no criminal activity or attempts on tourists. Naples itself can be noisy, dirty, and run-down in many places, so this apartment felt like a calm refuge.

I’d chosen the room, and that part was my responsibility, but I could have paid more. I don’t think this property deserved what happened. I booked three nights, and the Booking app listed a tourist tax of €18 for two people. When my wife and I arrived, they charged us €30 and said the amount had changed as of March 1st. I paid and asked Booking for help, but got no response. The property should have made the change clear and updated the tax in the app. This is a guesthouse, not a B&B, and there was no refrigerator or breakfast. At 7:15 PM someone from the property messaged me on WhatsApp, called me frustrated, and told me to look up the information on Google. That information should have been clear in the app. Not recommended.

The room was clean, with hot water always available, a fridge, and fresh renovations. The hosts were very friendly. There’s a cheap Supero supermarket nearby, and the train station is close. The area has many migrants, though, and I wouldn’t recommend walking there late at night. The gated courtyard and security guard made me feel safe inside. It stayed quiet outside in the evening, but the room door is thin, so we sometimes heard neighbors in the hallway. There’s no late checkout, and storing suitcases after checkout is awkward: the guard’s hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and he isn’t always there. There’s no kettle or microwave.

The place is peaceful and the room and bathroom were clean, cared for, and had air conditioning. The owner was friendly and courteous. It’s just a few meters from Naples Central Station and the Metro, with pizzerias, bars, restaurants, a pharmacy, and a supermarket close by. A good choice for a few days in Naples.
