Residenza Principe di Carafa

Cavour metro station is very close, and from there it's quick to get to Pompeii and other places. There are nice restaurants nearby, plus good bars for aperitivos. The room itself was small but lovely, with a nice bathroom, a perfect bed, and a heater, which you don't find everywhere in southern Europe. The shower was pretty ordinary, though, and in room 102 it sits right in front of the bed. We also had a payment mix-up: the owner didn't realize we'd already paid through PayPal and charged us again. They sorted it out a few hours later and returned the second payment.

Francesca gave us great service at this modern B&B in a historic building. Each morning she surprised us with different pastries at breakfast. Thank you!

The one difficulty was arriving on foot with a suitcase, which might be a bit of a struggle. Apart from that, we had a great stay from October 2 to October 4. The room was very clean, the service excellent, and the owner friendly and helpful. It's ideally placed for getting around, close to Piazza Cavour and two subway stations. Everything else was fantastic, 9/10. I'll definitely return.

The quiet neighborhood made it easy to get around, and Francesca welcomed us so warmly. Breakfast was generous, with homemade pastries served kindly by Francesca, who took our preferences into account. A couple of things could use attention: the shower didn't work quite right and some light bulbs were out. One evening, when we came back to the room, there was a strong smell of broccoli and dirty pots in the sink. Someone had clearly been cooking, and it wasn't a guest.
