The rooms were comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated, and the central location made it easy to get around. I’d call it an okay stay overall. Breakfast was decent but the choices were limited. Communication was tricky because the receptionist didn’t speak English and answered English questions in Italian. The neighborhood around the building is crowded and can feel unsafe, especially at night. The street was dirty, and the building exterior looked old and neglected, which was quite different from the nicely arranged rooms inside. It’s a decent option for a night or two if you value pleasant rooms and a central location, though some things could be better.

The rooftop was a highlight for me: spacious, lovely, and never too crowded. Breakfast was tasty and had good variety, so I’d rate the food 9/10. The unlimited barista-made coffee included with breakfast was something I’d never seen before, and gets 10/10 for drinks. The price felt fair for what you get. Staff were very kind and helpful, and spoke fluent English, which is quite rare in Italy. The rooms were cleaned every day and kept in perfect condition. I could hear a little sound coming into my room, but it never caused a problem. I was impressed and would definitely return.

The room was good, with nothing to complain about there, but it felt more like an Airbnb. There wasn’t an open reception, and WhatsApp was the only way to contact anyone. The manager, Massimo, was friendly, though only available virtually, which could make problems harder to sort out. Breakfast was terrible, with portions counted out, only miniature items to eat, and the plainest bread. The person handling cleaning and breakfast didn’t speak English or seem to try, which wasn’t great. The hotel’s location near Garibaldi Piazza train station isn’t ideal either. The area feels sketchy because of its diverse population.

I spent six days in Naples with my family and booked two rooms at VistaViva B&B. Room 3 was clean and fine. Room 5 was awful because of a mold smell. They agreed to move us, and the next day we were given room 6, but it also smelled strongly of mold. The ceiling was covered in mold, as shown in the photos, and the bathroom had a bad smell, probably from the sewer. There was also a strange incident with room 3. After we’d been there a few days, we came back one evening to find that the owner had taken an armchair while we were out, without telling us. They’d also left the spare key in the door lock. Breakfast had few choices, although the coffee was good. The B&B is near the city center and train station, but we were completely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were kind and polite, and breakfast was acceptable, though basic and served with cold coffee. The double room was comfortable, but the toilets smelled terribly rotten. For the price, the hotel building was a real letdown: it looked damaged and abandoned. The neighborhood was unpleasant too. The first thing someone said to us was, “careful with your things.” We arrived late and couldn’t find the doorbell, and were lucky that someone entering the building let us in. I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here, despite the good staff.
