We first tried Cava degli Ulivi in June this year, and it was a splendid month to be there, with everything feeling easier. The most beautiful beaches are only a few minutes away, and in the evenings elegant Nardò has plenty of events and special places to eat, even in June. It’s such a peaceful place to recharge and feel the Salento atmosphere in all the details. The owners are warm, discreet, and attentive, as always. We leave our hearts here every year and come back to reclaim them.

The garden kitchen is a real highlight, and it’s fully equipped. The rooms have distinctive furnishings made with natural recycled materials, including wooden tables and linen sheets. This is a family-run place just beyond the center of Santa Caterina, surrounded by calm countryside. The owners and their children are attentive and very helpful.

Breakfast came with a fresh homemade cake every day. This charming little stone cabin feels authentic, with a warm family atmosphere. It’s also right in the middle of the area for visiting nearby villages and enjoying the beaches.

The citrus-planted courtyard and outdoor kitchen are a real plus, with the scents of Mediterranean scrub all around. The B&B has three units of different sizes, thoughtfully furnished with stone and raw wood details, and it’s fairly close to some of Salento’s most beautiful beaches. The location on the outskirts of Nardò means you’ll constantly need a car. Also, the kitchen is shared with the owners.

For an authentic Salento experience, this is the place. The owners are wonderful, and the room itself is beautiful, set into a quarry with Lecce stone walls and details that have clearly been chosen with care. Congratulations!
