Residenza Del Mare

The sea at Sant'Isidoro is right outside, and we could enjoy it from the terrace. We spent a wonderful week here in a new property, with comfortable rooms and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Nadia prepared it with such care and kindness, and did her best to meet all our needs. We're very grateful to her.

We came back to Residenza del Mare for 10 days for the second year running. Nadia, the manager, is professional and kind, and starts each morning with a smile and a chat. She's attentive and always ready to help with guests' needs. The location is excellent. Recommended!

Blu Salento has comfortable, welcoming surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food in generous portions. The cuisine is its strongest feature. I enjoyed my stay in July 2013, though the entertainment changes each year, so I can't say much about it generally. What let the resort down for me was the beach: it's small, the water is full of seaweed, and there are only a few canoes for sports. Arrival and departure arrangements are rigid too. Even if you arrive in the morning, you're kept out until 4:00 PM and can't have lunch. Leave early on your last day and you miss both breakfast and lunch. WiFi costs extra and only works in reception, which feels laughable now that so many people use mobile data. The price is high compared with similar places, and I don't think the service quality justifies it. For what you get, it costs far too much.

Our July 2024 stay was entirely positive. The room was clean, the balcony had a drying rack, and breakfast came with plenty of choices, both sweet and savory, including fruit. Nadia, who runs the place, was exceptionally kind and helpful.
