The pool is a lovely bit of luxury, and the views over the vineyards and olive groves are gorgeous. San Nicola was just the rustic, simple agriturismo I was hoping to find, with great food and a very good wine list. It’s quite remote, though the drive to Agrigento is only about 40 minutes, and the roads aren’t in great shape. Give yourself time and aim to arrive in daylight, and it’s manageable.

Dinner was one of the best meals we had on our Sicily trip. The grounds are beautiful, the staff made us feel welcome, and we had an amazing stay. I hope we can come back soon.
10/10
The service for me and my family was really good, and we were well looked after in every way. There was lots of space for our dog to roam, and the other dogs staying there were friendly too.
10/10
We had dinner as well as breakfast, and both were very good. The room had a nice look that suited an agriturismo, and the service was great. We loved the place and the people. The pool was lovely, with plenty of sunbeds and a jacuzzi.
8/10
The room felt a bit basic for the price, and the squeaky beds made it hard for the kids to fall asleep. The shower worked well but needed about five minutes to heat up. You can borrow a rack for drying wet swimwear. The setting is beautiful, and the kids really liked the pool. The restaurant offers one menu, but they can make something for guests with allergies, and children have their own menu. We thought the food was good.
