The whole family made us feel like old friends and couldn't have been more accommodating. We stayed in a large, quiet room away from the main house, and everything worked; the roomy shower was especially nice. There are paths across the big farm and a lake to explore, and driving to the Valley of the Temples was easy. Each night we had Mama Antonella prepare a four-course dinner with wine. It was excellent and very reasonably priced, with a real range of Sicilian dishes, from hearty soups to delicate cheeses. Her stuffed magenta artichokes were wonderful. This was easily our favorite place to stay in Sicily, and I'd gladly return.

We had an excellent lunch, simple and tasty from the appetizer through to the gelato. The farmhouse sits among vineyards and olive groves, about half an hour from Licata, with real quiet in September. In the morning the pool was all ours and it was so peaceful. We'll come back, probably for at least one night. Definitely worth trying.
