Vegan Hotel LA VIMEA

The setting at La Vimea is a dream, with mountain views in every direction, a beautiful modern hotel, and plenty of room to rest. There are four saunas, hot rocks, two pools, a gym, and a gorgeous patio. It's also a good size for a small or medium wedding. We got married here, and our day was perfect. Valeria, the owner, helped us plan for two years and worked incredibly hard to make everything right. She found our photographer, DJ, and hairstylist, and gave us lots of other recommendations. Once we arrived, she kept organizing the wedding while looking after all our guests. On the day itself, she noticed every detail. We can't say enough good things about her. The staff were phenomenal. Our guests even gave them a standing ovation at the end of the reception. They made sure everyone was having a great time. One person secretly made our seating chart sign, and another dried spring flowers for our table decorations. Such lovely people and outstanding service. And the food was sensational, easily the best I've ever had. The breakfast buffet had so many sweet and savory choices that I couldn't try everything, even across four mornings. Lunch was fantastic the one time I had it, though breakfast had filled me up. We loved the five-course dinners, with new flavors in every meal, thoughtfully put together by Head Chef Aggeliki. For the wedding they made us a seven-course dinner, including hand-crafted maple leaves as a little Canadian touch. See the photos. Dinner deserves a special mention. It was genuinely impressive, even for me as someone who isn't vegan. The staff, facilities, and food were all very good, and I had a great time overall. A few small things in my room weren't right: the bathroom fan didn't work, the hair dryer was faulty, and water collected in the shower after use. Breakfast was good, though I would've liked more options. I'd still recommend the hotel.

Don't skip a jump in the pond, it's so refreshing. valerie the owner is super welcoming and kind. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a natural feel, and the rooms are roomy with lovely quality wood throughout. The spa and sauna are great, too. I've never had better hotel service. Such a lovely stay, I recommend it to everyone.

We paid €5 for a bagged tea, but the cup was visibly dirty and that put me off. They only told us about the terrace's no-smoking rule after we'd ordered, even though the terrace was empty. I think that should've been made clear beforehand. Left disappointed.
