The pool isn't heated, but you settle right in and feel at home. And the lake view is magnificent, almost impossible to beat. It even makes you forget how terribly narrow the shower is 😁. Everything people say about Umberto is true: he's a wonderful person whose goal is to make his guests happy!

The pool was clean, well cared for, and peaceful, with hardly anyone around. Our room was lovely and spotless, and the bed was comfortable too. From the first minute at Umberto's we felt at ease, thanks to the incredibly friendly, caring staff. Book a lake view room if you can, the view is magnificent, especially in the evening. Breakfast was decent. We were very satisfied and had no complaints at all.

The breakfast is well worth recommending, and Umberto is a genuinely attentive host. The large pool is usually quiet, and the view is beautiful. A lovely place for a holiday, and well located for visiting Lake Maggiore.

The owner was easily the most helpful person I've ever met, and breakfast was excellent. The pool is a real plus since there are very few places to swim in the lake. For views, this is clearly the best accommodation in the area. The rooms are small, with a small but adequately equipped bathroom. The shower is really tiny, though, and the bed was very uncomfortable: the very soft mattress sat on a wire grid, so it rippled with every movement. The road to the hotel is steep and winding, and navigation takes you the wrong way through very narrow streets. At each mirror, you'd have only about 1 cm of space from the wall. Make sure to approach the hotel from the right side. The photos show two kinds of rooms, and every room is for two people.
