My mother, my partner and I picked this place for its convenient location near Negrar hospital. It was a welcoming home in a strategic spot for patients, but dealing with the owner and her relatives made for a terrible stay. Soon after we arrived, the heating was switched off. The two split units weren’t working either. After several persistent messages, the owner asked for a thermostat photo and pointed out that it read 20.7 degrees, as though that meant guests couldn’t be cold. Her husband was very kind and came to reconnect the heating. There were three of us, and two pillows had been taken out of one room because they weren’t really needed. Once in bed, we decided to use one to prop up our legs. Hours after checkout, the owner contacted us, accusing us of bringing in an extra person without paying. Her mother said she’d seen a man in the house while two of us were leaving for the hospital. We took a taxi back to show there was nobody else with us. Instead of an apology for the rude insinuation, the two ladies called us “smart” and insisted the person with me was my brother, not my partner. Maybe that was why they thought I’d invited a fourth person. All this over an extra pillow from the closet. A terrible experience.
