I spent a week here while getting treatment at the hospital, just a three-minute walk away, even in the rain. It's right in town, with lots of shops and restaurants just outside. The friendly staff accommodated me even when I arrived very early, and the other guests were friendly too. My room was small but clean and nice, with everything I needed except a couch. The balcony looked out over the street and mountains. The street was noisy, but with the doors and windows shut, the soundproofing kept it out. I could hear noise in the hallway and the TV from the next room, though. Breakfast was plentiful, and the pizza wasn't too bad. The shower was very small, with the water levers sticking halfway into it. The water never got hot enough to steam the mirror. The mattress needs rotating, since there's a dip where other people have slept, and somehow it slid along the frame overnight, leaving me half off the bed in the morning. Still, I had a pleasant stay. I hope I won't need treatment again, but if I do, I'll definitely return.

The owner is really kind and always happy to offer advice about the area. Breakfast was generous, with lots to choose from, and the room and bathroom were nice, with amenities. What a pleasant surprise, this hotel could easily be four stars. Very good!

Finding a place at the last minute is pretty typical for us, but this one was well worth it. We drove to Verona and discovered a horse show was on, so almost every reasonably priced hotel was booked. We ended up at the Diamante in Negrar, a 15-20 minute drive from Verona. The drive wasn't the prettiest, but the hotel made up for it. We were given two rooms and were really pleased with them. The Diamante is a small, family-run two-star hotel, though I'm not sure why it's only two stars. Inside and out, it's been refurbished to a very high standard. The ensuite bathrooms were huge and modern, with a shower, bidet, and toilet in ours. Breakfast was included and plentiful, and the macchiatos were great. The staff were very friendly, and even helped copy and print something for my son's homework at no extra charge. We'll definitely return.

Don't be put off by the two stars. It's simply a lovely place to stay, a cozy little family hotel with heart and soul in the middle of the Valpolicella region.

A really pleasant, peaceful stay. The rooms were clean, the equipment modern, and the staff nice. Very quiet place, and a very nice experience!
