Nemi is a charming, characterful village, and the walks and trails around the property are beautiful. It’s far from city traffic and noise, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The place itself is gorgeous, and the owner clearly makes use of that. He pays attention to small details, which are also listed as strong points in the description, and makes shallow promises. The management was very, very disappointing. It would have been better if he hadn’t promised anything and had just apologized. Roberto, the owner, never showed up. All our contact was by messages and phone. The apartment had apparently gone uncleaned for months. There was grease and dust in the kitchen, and the floor seemed to move. The bathroom was barely decent. We spent about five hours cleaning, plus time going to the supermarket in neighboring Genziano to buy cleaning products that weren’t provided. The promised "unlimited" coffee wasn’t there either. I called Roberto, and he apologized, blamed a mysterious cleaning lady, and promised to refund the cost of one night as "compensation." After six weeks and numerous messages, nothing had been returned.

A lovely host and a breathtaking view of the lake. You can really unwind here, away from everyone, with only the birds for company. Enjoy the hot tub and fireplace when it’s cold, or the sunny terrace and stars from the bedroom when the weather’s nice. Go without a second thought.

The lake view and the green park around the house are breathtaking, and the place has potential. But the management felt rough, the cleaning was poor, and the dated bathroom was in such bad condition that it made the stay uncomfortable.

We had to spend three hours cleaning the whole place as soon as we arrived. It was extremely dirty, a total dump, really.
