The place was spotless, and Giovanni checked in regularly to see if we needed anything and make sure all was going well. He made us feel very welcome. Breakfast supplies included yoghurts, jams, juices, muffins, milk, and more. We were hoping to find somewhere peaceful in the woods where the children could explore, but still close to Mount Etna, and this lovely spot in nature is only 15 minutes from Etna Sud. There are charming paths leading to great viewpoints, with benches and gentle lighting that keep the surroundings serene. It's a magical place.

Giovanni has made a marvelous place, and he's a wonderful host. We slept like babies in the quiet. In the morning, a small fox came to visit. It's a real hideaway, and although the last mile is really off-road, the trip is worth it.

The cottages were cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We also thought it would work really well for a group trip with friends or several families. The space seems great for retreats, sports, or yoga. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. With all the fresh air, beautiful nature, and peaceful atmosphere at the foot of Mount Etna, it's an ideal break from busy city life, whether you're looking to recharge, spend time alone, or enjoy time with family. A wonderful place to relax, and one we'd want to return to.

The new superior chalet was amazing, really clean and well organized. Giovanni, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. I wish I'd stayed longer. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely go back when I get the chance.

Matilde Chalet sits deep in the forest, in the middle of Mount Etna National Park, at 1.500 meters. The three wooden cabins are nicely finished with good materials, and the rooms have what you need to stay independently. A path uphill lets you see an old lava flow from 1983, which runs close to the chalets. The shared outdoor area has tables for socializing, a pizza oven, and a fire place. Mount Etna's attractions are just 10 minutes away by car. Recommended.
