Rosso Vulcano Bed & Breakfast

I felt so at home that I extended my stay. Breakfast was really good and plentiful, and the town center is just around the corner, easy to reach on foot. I had a ground-floor room that worked perfectly for me and my dog, with adequate furnishings and a table outside. The room and bathroom were clean, the shower stayed nice and hot, and I could park safely in the courtyard garden. The hosts were so lovely.

The area is quiet and cool, and well placed for a visit to Mount Etna. There’s also a nice private parking lot, and the center is only a few minutes away on foot. Salvatore and his wife were wonderful owners. Because I had a work-related need, they made our room available earlier than planned right away. That showed me how much they care about their guests. I recommend it to everyone!

The owner was welcoming and helpful, but there’s no electronic payment device. The studio is on the ground floor of a villa with plenty of internal parking, though the side entrance is very inconvenient. Inside, it’s a bare, spartan room and only moderately clean. The bathroom has a cracked shower tray, no heating, and a towel rack that’s almost out of place. An old heat pump heats the studio. It gets noisy at night, and its filters weren’t clean, which bothered me with my nocturnal rhinitis. Not recommended.

We stayed near Mount Etna in May 2025. For two people it cost €67, with a very generous breakfast included. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and there was private gated parking. Our hosts were extremely friendly.
