We spent four nights at Agriturismo Il Bricco just outside Nizza Monferrato, and the quiet setting among vineyards and hills made it easy to unwind. The pool is clean and spacious, with lovely views, and the garden is full of flowers and fresh herbs. There are goats, donkeys, geese, and at least 12 cats, all cared for by Guisy. She and Mannu made us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was generous, with warm croissants, seasonal fruit, homemade pastries, eggs, and local products. We also had dinner there one evening, which was a highlight: risotto, handmade filled tortellini, slow-cooked beef, and tiramisu. The wine selection was great for Piemonte wine lovers, and you can take a bottle whenever you like to enjoy in the garden. We’d happily recommend Il Bricco to anyone looking for a peaceful stay close to nature, and hope to return.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and stayed cool in summer because of the thick walls and old construction. Breakfast came with all sorts of things, including homemade marmalade, toast, fresh bread, an English breakfast, ham, and cheese. The owner was happy to offer ideas for things to do nearby. We spent a long weekend at this friendly agriturismo surrounded by nature. On arrival, the farm animals were there to greet us, including chickens, donkeys, goats, and more than 12 cats. Our first night started with a wine tasting led by the owner, with local cheese, salami, and marmalades. We couldn't use the pool yet, since summer hadn't quite arrived, but the owner said it would be ready before the season. She also mentioned that the pool area sometimes hosts music events, from jazz and classical to house music.

Giusy especially made us feel very welcome. We had a great stay at Agriturismo Il Bricco, with its vineyards and lovely cats, donkeys, and goats. Our room was large and clean. We'd gladly recommend this agriturismo.

The staff were friendly and happy to accommodate guests' wishes. There was wine tasting with cheese, pasta, and meat dishes. The hotel has cozy rooms and sits among vineyards and truffle fields.

The views around the property are beautiful, the place looks tidy, and the swimming pool is one of the best we've seen across more than 20 agriturismos. Still, our stay left us very disappointed. The room was tiny and stuffy, especially at night. There was no air conditioning, and the windows had no bug screens, so we couldn't cool or ventilate the room. A noisy fan was provided, but we struggled to sleep about half the time. The hosts didn't seem to understand or acknowledge the problem. The house, garden, and terraces felt cramped, almost like a campsite, despite the photos suggesting otherwise. Even with only a few rooms occupied, we had very little privacy or quiet and ended up leaving the property much of the time. The sound carried badly inside, especially where we stayed. Although we'd asked for the quietest room, slamming doors and loud voices disturbed us repeatedly, waking us or keeping us from sleeping on nearly every day. We also expected Wi-Fi for guests, televisions in the rooms, and daily room cleaning based on various websites and the price. The hosts seemed unaware that there was no Wi-Fi outside their office. We felt awkward having to ask for room cleaning once. We were charged a surprisingly high amount for supper without being told the price beforehand. That added to our impression that the agriturismo was too commercially minded and not attentive enough to guests. If you're seeking a peaceful stay with good value, I'd look elsewhere.
