Hotel Giallo

The air conditioning had already been broken for days on the ground and first floors, but nobody told us before we paid on arrival. We were there in July 2025, and after driving 1,100 km that day, we took a quick shower and turned on the unit. It soon became obvious it wasn't working. We complained at reception after being in the room for no more than 30 minutes. The receptionist said repair workers had been called days earlier, but she didn't know when they'd come. The hotel was full, so she couldn't move us, and she couldn't approve a refund without her boss, who she couldn't reach. We went out for a quick bite at about 21:30, knowing reception closed at 23:00. When we returned, they used the fact we'd been in the room for 30 minutes to offer only €40 back per room for our two double rooms, just half of what we'd paid. We should have been told before arrival and given the choice to cancel without charge. Instead, they said nothing and had us pay as soon as we got there. The whole stay went completely wrong.

We came as a group for an exhibition, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our flight was cancelled, so we couldn't use the rooms from the first night of our reservation. The manager was kind enough not to charge us for the nights we missed. Breakfast wasn't included in our booking, but they gave it to us at no extra charge, and it was a fair breakfast. The room was clean and good. I recommend it.

The rate was very nice, and we found the hotel itself lovely. Breakfast was perfect, and reception and the rest of the staff were friendly and really helpful. We'd definitely come back. The only downside was that the air conditioner wouldn't run for more than two hours after we switched it on.

Clean, pleasant accommodation with friendly service. There's a shop close by.
