Just outside the old town, Hotel Gentile was a lovely place for our one-night stay. The room was compact, but very clean, and we slept comfortably in the bed. Breakfast came with a warm family-run feel, and the owners made us feel looked after. Don't miss the homemade cakes and pastries. A simple room in a nice spot was exactly what we wanted.

The owners were so welcoming and did their best to help us sort things out. We arrived around Ferragosto and had no idea how difficult parking would be. Noli is tiny, and in August the whole coast gets packed with visitors, so finding a spot took three hours. The hotel owner even called other hotels before we finally found somewhere.

We stayed for five nights in August. The rooms were cleaned well every day, the staff were helpful and polite, and the air conditioning was a relief after hot days hiking. Our top-floor room had a huge terrace and a lovely view. The shower, though, was tiny and awkward, especially since there seemed to be room for a slightly larger one. Breakfast got repetitive over five days, with limited choices: lots of sweet items, croissants, cheese, ham, salami, some yogurt and fruit. There were no eggs or vegetables. Parking only has space for about eight cars.
