Casale Perla

We slept so well here, thanks to a wonderfully comfortable bed, and our quiet room looked out over the hills. Breakfast was generous and delicious, just right before a day on the trails. The owners made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, with a warmth that’s hard to find. Casale Perla is beautifully restored and kept in immaculate shape. It’s peaceful, but Norcia’s center is only a five-minute drive away, and the Castelluccio plain is easy to reach from here. We hated to leave and are sure we’ll be back. For an authentic, high-quality stay in the area, this is a lovely choice.

I only got to spend one night here, which is the only shame. The farmhouse was spotless and so well cared for, and the host was exceptional. It was quiet enough and the mattress was good enough that I actually slept almost nine hours straight, which hardly ever happens to me. Breakfast was fantastic too, with homemade tarts and pastries, cold cuts, cheese and fruit. My three friends had cappuccino and coffee. Thanks so much, Giorgio.

Casale Perla sits in a peaceful natural setting, just minutes from Norcia’s historic center and well placed for trips to the Castelluccio plain. From our room, the panoramic view was lovely to wake up to, and breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty options. The mattresses and pillows were unusually comfortable, and the whole property was spotless and cared for down to the smallest details. We had an unforgettable weekend here.

The owners were helpful and courteous, and their rustic Umbrian hospitality made us feel at home right away. This family-run agriturismo is surrounded by greenery and has a wonderfully restful feel. It’s less than 4 km from Norcia. Give it a try if you’re after a little corner of paradise, you’ll want to return like we did.
