There's plenty of room both indoors and outside, and the setting is very convenient for reaching beaches and the main towns in this part of Sicily. One drawback is that you'll find no supermarket, bar or other services within a 5-10 minute drive. The accommodation could also do with more cleaning and maintenance.

We stayed three nights in the Aurora apartment, a charming two-level place for two adults and two children. Our favorite part was the very private outdoor area at the back, and the pool was a real hit with my daughter, who picked this place herself. Set among greenery, it felt wonderfully quiet and private. Mr. Vincenzo and his wife were so available and kind that we felt almost at home. We loved it and hope we can return soon. We had a great time here with our two kids. The bedrooms are large, the kitchen has what you need, and the pool is a lovely place to unwind. It's a little way outside town, but that brings peace and quiet, plus breathtaking views of the sea.

The Giulia apartment has loads of space, and the owner was kind and quick to reply whenever we got in touch. Its location is lovely for getting to Noto and some of the nicest beaches around Syracuse. We stayed for two nights and found the bed and pillows uncomfortable, though. With a few updates, the property could be really good.

The owners are simply fabulous, and we had a wonderful holiday. Our apartment was clean, spacious and had every comfort. It’s close to Noto and to some of the most fabulous spots in eastern Sicily. We’ll definitely return.
