Casa Sigmondo

Maria and her husband were kind and always available. The home is clean, welcoming, and even has mosquito nets, which I appreciated since I'm afraid of insects. Its location is excellent, within walking distance of the city center and bus terminal. The bathroom is small but has everything. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, dishes, and coffee machine. There's a sofa bed and a double bed with a closet on the mezzanine. The washing machine, TV, and air conditioning all worked. Maria also offers breakfast, beach towels, and an umbrella. Highly recommended!

The studio was modern, clean, welcoming, and practical, and we found the price very competitive compared with other places nearby. We cooked on two of our three nights, helped by the well-equipped kitchen and brand-new, efficient fridge. Maria did something especially lovely: one morning, she left croissants and brioche col tuppo from a famous local pastry shop on a tray in the house's internal courtyard. We thanked her for everything when we left, and her hospitality and kindness were wonderful. I stayed three days with my wife, and everything was perfect. One practical note: because of the COVID emergency, Noto's Municipal Administration had suspended the €1 per person per day tourist tax until December 31, 2020.

Maria welcomed us with real care, suggested great itineraries around the area, and was flexible about all our requests. She made us feel at home. The apartment was spotless and excellent value, and a good base for seeing Noto's baroque sights or enjoying the clear sea in southeastern Sicily through late October.

The owner was so friendly and helpful, and the house was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It's near Noto's historic center, and easy to reach by car from the sea and the area's main attractions. We had a wonderful stay!
