Just a few minutes on foot from the center, and the apartment is air conditioned, so it cools down quickly. It’s small, though it has what you need for a short stay. The bathroom is roomy and comfortable; the compact kitchen is fine for a few days. The double mattress sinks, particularly on the right, which was a letdown. Water can be an issue in Sicily: we had none for two days. Valentina, the owner, promptly contacted the local water company and handled that efficiently. Mornings can be noisy, with the pumps filling the tanks and local sellers outside.

We booked for 10 days, but had to leave on day seven when our studio apparently was the only one affected by a water problem. There was almost no water. The owner was kind in manner, but seemed indifferent and kept putting off a fix. When we asked for a container for wastewater, she didn't provide one either. We were disappointed, despite receiving a refund after two days for the three unused days. The small apartment is not far from the center, though street sellers and passing scooters make early mornings noisy. I wouldn't recommend it.
