Casa Vintage Mary was a lovely base for seeing Noto's historic center and the nearby area. The owners were so kind and helpful, and the house felt welcoming, with careful details and spotless rooms. It has a tasteful vintage look alongside modern comforts. I had a fantastic stay on vacation and would love to return. Highly recommend it for a peaceful visit with plenty of beauty and Sicilian charm.

The only real effort is the uphill walk back, though that seems to be part of Noto. Going down the nearby stairs takes you straight to the historic center, right in front of the fountain of Hercules, so there's no need to drive. The little vintage-style house is tucked into Noto's narrow lanes. Staff are kind and ready to help whenever you ask, and the cleaning is extremely thorough, from the gleaming dishes and glasses to the wooden ceiling and corners. Close by you'll find bars, restaurants, a well-stocked Coop supermarket, post office and bank. On the way out of Noto toward the cemetery, you can visit the Conca d'Oro oasis, and Noto Antica, with its remains by the Carosello quarry and a beautiful lake with a river. My score: 10 out of 10.
