I Gufi Bed & Breakfast Marzamemi

The outdoor shower and laundry facilities were excellent, and the pool gets lovely afternoon sun. This family-run place feels warm and welcoming, with tastefully decorated rooms. It’s a one-minute walk to a beautiful beach. Breakfast was friendly and warm, with excellent coffee and a good mix of sweet and savoury items. My only downside was the lack of a kettle or tea-making facilities in the room. Those would have made the stay even better.

Just a few minutes from the beach, this fantastic B&B is run by really nice, friendly owners. The rooms are well equipped and tastefully done. Breakfast was great, with both sweet and savoury choices and beautiful homemade cakes. The courtyard and pool are so inviting. I’d definitely recommend this lovely place.

I’m surprised by how high the ratings are. The room was okay, but it had a heavy, unpleasant smell and an uncomfortable bed. The sink and shower in the bathroom were rusty, and shower water spilled onto the floor. It was too expensive for the quality. In reply to your comment: I did ask for a reduction, and you refused, which is completely fine. But that has nothing to do with the points I raised above. Your response makes it seem like you’re shifting the blame instead of improving the hotel. I didn’t take photos, but it would be good if you went to the room and photographed the rusty sink and shower yourself.

The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and had great air-conditioning. There’s a nice pool with sunbeds, friendly staff, and a great breakfast with cappuccino, granita, brioche, and other options. I would have liked some healthier choices too. During check-in, we had to sign a waiver about liability if something was stolen. That made us feel uneasy about leaving valuables in the room.
