The way the owner spoke to us was what bothered me most. He called to scold us, asking what we expected for €50 an apartment and whether we thought we were getting five-star service. He also sent a string of unpleasant messages. One of us is local, and I've travelled around the area a lot, so I know a typical Sicilian breakfast of coffee and brioche costs barely €3. His tone was inappropriate, and anyone working in hospitality should learn some basic manners. There were other problems too. The mattress was in very poor shape, and the shower came with only a little soap in sachets. The coffee machine in the room didn't work, even though there were two complimentary capsules. We messaged the owner on WhatsApp when we arrived to ask about breakfast. He said there'd been a problem with the bar, and proposed waiving the tourist tax instead. We had paid for a certain level of service and comfort, and felt the listing should have been updated, especially as we booked only a few hours before arrival. I didn't accept that offer. He first said he could send €10 through PayPal, then changed his mind and told us to go to the bar next door, where he'd arranged coffee and a croissant. At first glance, I also didn't like having to pay the city tax in cash on site.

I never even got to stay, and the experience was awful. I'd booked two nights, August 25 and 26, with free cancellation for a fee until August 19, because my trip was definitely not for personal reasons. Four days before the stay, on August 21, 2025, I contacted the property to explain and see if we could reach an agreement. A man contacted me through Booking and was extremely rude. He asked inappropriate things, including what my job was, said the €134 reservation fee should have let him eat, and called me a liar while questioning whether my personal problem was serious. I would give zero stars if I could. The behavior showed no professionalism or basic human respect. I strongly advise against this place. The services were terrible, and the way customers are treated lacks dignity.

A decent choice for a few days in Noto, especially in its distinctive historic setting. The rooms are simple, but clean and practical. Breakfast is a bit of a distance away. A few little improvements could make the stay more comfortable.

Dishonest person. I booked through the site, my card didn't work, and he cancelled the reservation, saying the price had gone up and I should try booking again. I checked shortly after, and the room price had increased. Stay away from this place and this host. Zero stars!
