Kapuhala Sicily

Dinner changed my mind about what plant-based food can be. I eat neither vegan nor vegetarian, but the garden ingredients and the chef’s creativity made every dish feel like a discovery. The wines made on-site paired beautifully with the meal. Kapuhala has a welcoming feel, with aromatic herbs all around and a sunset by the pool that’s hard to forget. From the moment I arrived, the place seemed to bring together people and perspectives that might otherwise stay far apart. It’s an experience that asks you to leave your assumptions behind. We ended up having dinner every night. The chef is incredibly skilled, and swimming in the pool as the sun went down was probably my favorite part. Breakfast also had a nice little buffet, and the staff were well trained and respectful. The five of us stayed three days in the farmhouse. It’s a peaceful spot among vineyards and gardens, with a natural kind of luxury. You can go running, and the sea is only 3 km away. We had a lovely holiday and are already counting down until we can come back. Christina and Crystal made it feel special.

That vegetarian dinner among the vineyards was unforgettable, with organic, zero-kilometer food made with so much care. The atmosphere at Kapuhala Sicily feels magical, and the whole team helped make our stay special. Crystal, the wonderful chef and owner, and Stefano, her husband and co-owner, both brought so much passion to the experience. Their kids helped too. We can’t wait to come back.

The sunsets from the pool are beautiful, and the place feels calm and close to nature. As you walk around, you see herbs, nuts, fruit and vines, and those ingredients turn up in the delicious food. They also made wine-based cocktails from things grown on their land, alongside the excellent wine. The owners and staff were welcoming and knew their stuff. A great experience.
