Villa Vendicari

I spent nine fantastic days at Vendicari villa and would totally come back. Guglielmo was very kind, stayed in touch, and was happy to accommodate me. The villa is beautiful, with a pool, lemon and orange trees, and sunbeds where you can read or just relax. The big olive tree right in front of the villa will stay in my memory. I watched it in the morning sunlight every day. The place is well equipped for making proper meals, fresh juice, or smoothies. The bed was comfortable, the rooms were light and clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

At Villa Vendicari, the two villas frame a magnificent olive tree, with wide views over the Vendicari nature reserve and the sea. The setting felt like a Sicilian stay beyond any Italian trip I’d had before. The curved architecture inside is lovely, and the villa’s easy access to the sea makes it simple to move between the comforts indoors and the surrounding nature. The garden blends beauty with practical sustainability. Its edible plants offer local herbs and fruit for cooking, and make a tangible connection to the Sicilian land. A stone path leads to the pool, adding natural charm while keeping the environmental impact down. Native plants across the property reflect care for Sicily’s biodiversity. With the sea as a peaceful backdrop, the outdoor areas invite you to slow down. Guglielmo was gracious, kind, and easy to communicate with, making us feel at home and well looked after. The design and his hospitality made the stay comfortable while respecting the setting. Villa Vendicari brings together luxury, care for the environment, and Sicilian character. Five stars! 🌿🌊🌟

Slow mornings here are hard to beat: we watched the sunrise, ate breakfast with a sea view, and sunbathed on the roof. The villa has plenty of room and everything we needed, and being able to rely mostly on solar energy felt great. It sits in a lovely garden where you can pick herbs and, in season, fruit. The beach and nature reserve are within a five-minute drive, and Noto is about 15 minutes away. Staying in was just as tempting. A place I’d happily recommend.

I came to write, but ended the two weeks feeling relaxed and recharged. The place was so beautiful and inspiring, and even though I don’t drive, we never felt cut off. Olive trees, vineyards and orchards surround the house, the sea is visible from it, and Baroque Noto is a short drive away. The house is chic and minimalist, with all the modern conveniences, from coffee makers and hairdryers to everything needed for a big Sicilian meal. Guglielmo was a lovely host, friendly, fluent in English, and reachable by phone or email whenever I had a question or request. I’d love to return for a month in the off season.
