Aktiv Hotel Schönwald

The peaceful setting and fantastic views made a great impression, and the care we received made us feel at home. The rooms were spotless and well kept. Breakfast was plentiful, and dinner was a delicious five courses, all cooked with love. I've stayed at many hotels, but this is definitely one I'd return to.

A typical day for me at the Schönwald hotel started with fresh air, a view of the Latemar mountains right in front, and a walk on one of the many trails in the woods nearby. Then I'd head back for a great breakfast before going off hiking, biking, or doing something else. In the afternoon, I'd return for a beer or whatever and wait for the amazing dinner. Later, I might take a walk into nearby Nova Levante, a really quiet town. For somewhere livelier, you'd need to drive to Canazei or Vigo di Fassa. Or you can just stay outside the hotel reading, having a drink, or playing a game. The owners are very kind and always try to help with information. You can see how hard they work at all hours. The food was amazing, and the cake we ordered for my little nephew's birthday was great, too. I don't normally write reviews, good or bad, but here I saw people put real passion and heart into their work, which is hard to find these days. I think they've got what it takes to make a holiday great. Hope to come back soon. Thanks to the Schönwald hotel staff.

The rooms are modern and really comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. Just one small downside, the Wi-Fi is turned off overnight.

The location and service were great, and the price felt right for what you get. Remember to book Halbpension, with breakfast and dinner. A perfect hotel.
