Being able to hike in the Dolomites all summer was a real plus, and the hotel is clean, with lovely views, a terrace, and gondolas nearby. The service itself was good, but I left with mixed feelings, which is why I gave it three stars. I’m comparing this with other family hotels I’ve stayed at. I sometimes felt the hotel was trying to add to the bill, whether through extra bottles at dinner, high local prices such as coffee, cleaning fees, or charging for a child’s lunch when they weren’t sitting at the kids club table. I’m fine paying for good service, even at more exclusive family hotels, but the final bill didn’t feel matched by what was offered. The staff were friendly, though rather reserved. Even spending the week alone with two kids, I wasn’t asked much or drawn into small talk. At check-in I was told to look at the QR code for information, which left me feeling I had to initiate contact and ask for help instead of being looked after proactively. I gave this feedback constructively at checkout, but the response felt defensive, with the high season and the need to earn money brought up. Some reviews here seem to describe a similar pattern. I’m mentioning it in the hope the service improves. It’s still a nice hotel for an active summer holiday.

The room matched the website photos, and the mountain views were even better. There are plenty of routes for hiking, climbing, and biking, so we had lots to do. Kids are very well catered for, with a pool for little ones, a kinderclub, and a small outdoor adventure park. The dining room and food suit adults and children alike, with special menus every day and great service. A great vacation, worth every cent.

We found the food really good, and the portions were sensible, so you don’t leave feeling you’ve gained five kilos. The hotel is comfortable and close to the ski area, about 100 metres away, and you can rent skis right across the road. For Italians, the social side can feel a bit awkward. Across Alto Adige, German is the local first language and Italian the second, and around 90 percent of the guests are German. Even though we’re in Italy and people are extremely kind, Italians can feel like outsiders, with few chances to make friends or even have a chat.

The childcare was very professional, and the hotel is close to the slopes, which made it a great spot for a family holiday. We also enjoyed the dinner menus and the good breakfast.
